Ten Second Stare

I'm still not too sold on this one. It was one of my submissions for the Soap Factory's 10-second film festival. Not sure if it's been accepted yet or not, will find out on the 20th of June.  It was made with a little Canon Powershot and edited with iMovie (which was a lot more frustrating to use than FCP for some reason).

When I decided to make this, I wanted to focus on a stare because I was interested in making a film that "watches" the viewer, so to speak. I think the audio is what's holding me back - when I decided to add it I was trying to suggest an ambiguous context from the which the viewer may begin to interpret or analyze the stare based on the randomly layered conversation. I feel like it may make create an epic sense that isn't quite delivered upon...but I kind of like that at the same time because, again, it adds this sort of irrelevant context that could be interpreted different ways.

Feels like more of a rough copy to me, perhaps an idea that could surpass a ten-second clip.
